Summary of August 2016

August. It’s the month of national days. At least 3 countries that hold a special place for me are celebrating their national days: Indonesia, Singapore, and Malaysia. It is also the month of Olympics in Rio, Brazil. As a proud Indonesian, I’m thrilled that the mixed double badminton team of Ahmad Tontowi and Liliyana Natsir won the gold medal on Indonesia’s Independence Day on 17 August 2016. As a resident of Singapore, I am also happy to see Joseph Schooling won Singapore’s first-ever gold medal in Olympics. It’s been a month of celebration.

My Life in August 2016:

So I’ve been working at a part-time job for the whole month. And I’ve been writing for this blog whenever I have the time. In addition, I have also written 2 articles for an online running website in Singapore. Here are the links:
SpongeBob Run 2016 Race Review: Beach Running on a Cloudy Day
5 Reasons Not to Date a Marathon Runner

In August, I’ve also been busy planning for an important event, actually not just one, but three. More on that in future posts.

My Plan for September 2016:

As I have concluded my Bali trip series, I would now focus on exploring my current city, which is…. Singapore! I gotta admit, it’s not easy to put myself in the shoes of a traveller visiting Singapore for the first time. For a start, I’m going to write about off-the-beaten-path destinations in Singapore.

Keep your adventurous flame burning! Do not settle for less than an adventurous life!
