This is how the trip was initiated.

I’ve been curious about this country for some time, but the flights from Singapore aren’t that affordable. One fine afternoon, I was browsing around jetstar website since they have promotion and bookings must be done on that day before 6pm. And I spotted sg-ygn-sg return flight for the price of SGD 95 only! That is ridiculously cheap. I called up my friends and told them they need to decide RIGHT NOW. And there we go, booking successfully made within few hours.

How many people my team is made of:

There are 3 of us

How my itinerary looks like:

Yangon (1) – Bagan (2) – Mandalay (2) – Inle (1) – Yangon (1.5)

How my travelling style is:

Since 2 of us can’t ride bicycle and drive, so bicycle, motorbike and self driving are out of question. And it’s not easy to visit those temples on foot. The only 2 choices left are: horse cart and car with driver. We decide to opt for car with driver for our “getting around” mode of transport. For transport between cities, we opt for overnight buses.

How much I spent:

In total, approximately SGD 770. And the breakdown is:

1. Flight = SGD 95

2. Insurance = SGD 38

3. Car rental and overnight buses = USD 237 = SGD 303

4. Hotels = USD 70 = SGD 90

5. Entrance fees to city = USD 35 = SGD 45

6. Food, attraction entrance fees, others = SGD 199

And now, brace yourself for loads and loads of pagoda photos!
