The entrance of Edge Restaurant exudes a warm and inviting ambiance, adorned with vibrant mandarin trees.

First up is the impressive DIY Yu Sheng Station. When I say huge, I mean HUGE! The station boasts an incredible variety of ingredients to create the perfect Yu Sheng.

Start with a colorful selection of ingredients, including shredded vegetables, cucumber strips, papaya strips, brown melon strips, peach pickles, and ginger pickles. For an added crunch, there are crispy crackers and crushed peanuts to elevate the texture.

Next, enhance the dish with condiments like aromatic 5-spice powder and a dash of white pepper for an extra kick of flavor. Then, choose from their array of sauces, featuring fragrant oil, sweet plum sauce, and the exceptional truffle plum sauce—my personal favourites for its unique richness.

Finally, complete your creation with premium proteins such as smoked salmon and smoked halibut, which add a luxurious touch to this festive treat.

One of the crowd’s favourites is the Penang Char Kway Teow station. If you’re lucky, you can catch the chef working the wok, dishing out a fresh batch of Char Kway Teow right in front of your eyes.

I feel that the buffet perfectly captures all the CNY festive dishes, including Yu Sheng, Nian Gao, dumplings, braised seafood with abalone, roasted pork, lunar new year cookies. There is too many food at Edge to mention (Edge is called Food Theatre for a reason).

If you’re keen to soak in the CNY vibes with a buffet, do make your reservation early because the restaurant was almost full house when I visited during a weekday. Singaporeans do take the CNY season seriously!

Lunch starts at S$68/adult and S$34/child (4-12 years old). Meanwhile, dinner starts at S$108/adult and S$54/child (4-12 years old).

Prices vary depending on the date and time. View the actual price for each day as well as the Lunar New Year menus here.
