After 2 years of virtual parade, Chingay Parade comes back with a live edition at the F1 Pit Building on 3 & 4 February 2023. It is one of the biggest events in Singapore featuring thousands of performers and plenty of beautiful parade floats.
This year’s theme is “Embrace Tomorrow” which completes the trilogy that began with 2021’s “Light of Hope”, followed by 2022’s “Ignite Our Dreams”.
If you’re planning to catch the parade, here are the essential guide and tips you need to know.

What to do if you can’t get a ticket?
As of 30 Jan 2023, tickets have been sold out. If you didn’t manage to get a ticket but you want to watch Chingay Parade, you have 2 options.
Option 1: Head to the standing are at F1 Pit Building. Admission to the standing area is free, however, it is based on a first-come-first-served basis. Once the capacity is filled up, admission for the remaining people will be stopped.
Option 2: Watch the parade online on Chingay’s Youtube on 3 Feb, at 8pm.
How to go to Chingay Parade
By Car: The nearest carparks are Millenia Walk and Suntec City. From there, walk to F1 Pit Building. There’s no drop-off point at F1 Pit Building.
By Taxi: The nearest drop-off point is Millenia Walk. Alternative drop-off points are Millenia Tower, Marina Square, Pan Pacific Singapore and Conrad Centennial Singapore. From there, walk to F1 Pit Building. There’s no drop-off point at F1 Pit Building.
By MRT: Take the Downtown Line or Circle Line and alight at Promenade Station. Alternatively, you can also take the MRT to Bayfront Station or Esplanade Station. From there, walk to F1 Pit Building.

What to see at Chingay Parade
There will be a line-up of exciting performances, such as singing performances, dancing performances, skateboard and parkour showcase, elaborate costume showcase, and various creatively-designed floats.

Beyond the parade: Community Art Installations
The Container Art Installation is made up of 28 numbers of 20ft and 40ft containers. It is designed and conceptualised by Sam Lo, and co-created by 480 youths. The Container Art Installation serves as a performance backdrop for Chingay 2023.
After the parade is over, the Container Art Installation will be open for public for free, from 5 to 9 February 2023.
Beside Container Art, visitor to the Community Art Installations will also get to see the Rabbits ART-Venture and Chingay Mini Floats.
